Engaging handbell programs for all ages and skill levels

We currently host youth choirs based in Griffith IN and Crown Point IN.

Practices are held weekly with performances in May and December. (Come check out Annual May Concert to be held on May 16,2026 at 3 pm CT) Youth ringers learn bell ringing techniques and learn how to read music. They also have the opportunity to ring in some of the Specialty Group Programs such as Senior Living facility rings, Christmas Tree Lighting, etc.

Age Range: 8 through 15 years

Adult Choir

The adult handbell choir is comprised of a mixture of adult and advanced youth ringers.

Harmony Handbells choirs are unique in that:

• Tryouts are not held although it is helpful to have some ringing experience or the ability to read music

• Ringers have the flexibility to commit to events and the event required practices

Specialty Ensembles / Programs

Seasonal events featuring our members and guest artists, bringing handbell music to local venues and celebrations.

Practices are geared towards learning a suite of pieces for 4,6 or 6+ ringers which prepares ringers for events as they occur such as entertainment for work events, Mother's Day banquets, funeral music Senior Living visitations, Christmas Tree Lighting, etc.

Ringers looking for more challenging pieces can participate in the annual Handbell Musicians of America regional workshop held each spring.
